Pollock receives 2025 CRA A. Nico Habermann Award

Dr. Lori Pollock, a Cultural Competence in Computing (3C) Fellow, recently won the 2025 CRA A. Nico Habermann Award. Dr. Pollock is a distinguished Professor Emeritus of Computer Information and Sciences at the University of Delaware. This CRA award recognizes individuals who are deeply committed to making lasting contributions to increase the inclusion of minoritized groups in the computing research community. It is one of CRA’s most prestigious honors. Dr. Pollock has acted through leadership, mentorship, and programmatic initiatives to broaden computing and create sustained programs for students and professionals of all career levels. She is the Principal Investigator of CRA’s UR2PhD Program and the NSF CSGrad4US Graduate Fellowship Program. Dr. Pollock has also played vital roles in the CRA-WP’s NSF Distributed Research Experiences for Undergraduates (DREU) program and the Partner4CS K-12 Program. Not only does she work with these programs to create opportunities for others, but she is known for her generosity and kindness to others. Congratulations Dr. Pollock!
