Leiny Garcia, Ph.D.

Dr. Leiny Garcia is an AiiCE Postdoctoral researcher at Duke University with degrees in engineering from Tufts University, Learning, Design, and Technology from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in Teaching, Learning, and Educational Improvement from UC Irvine. Her research centers on creating more inclusive STEM and Computer Science Education through participatory design methodologies, coding motivation and identity development, and culturally sustaining pedagogical practices.
