Minerva Matos-Garner serves as the Director of Communications for the Alliance for Interdisciplinary Innovation in Computing Education (AiiCE), where she leads strategic engagement initiatives that strengthen organizational visibility and foster collaborative leadership across member organizations. Her areas of focus include organizational communications, program management, and leadership development for a national network of computing education leaders.
Before joining AiiCE, Minerva was an Intercultural Communications Consultant and Lead Writing Instructor at Duke University’s Pratt School of Engineering. She designed graduate-level communications courses and coordinated global engagement programs for graduate engineering students and faculty, fostering intercultural understanding and collaborative learning across engineering programs.
She earned a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, with a focus on instructional systems design and linguistics. Minerva is a Duke Teaching for Equity Fellow and a Cultural Competence in Computing Fellow, committed to creating academic environments that serve all learners.
